Billie Jean Johnson, 54, died at her home in Lakeview on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014. She was born in Lakeview to John and Wanzell (Parker) Saunders on Nov. 20, 1959.
Billie grew up in Lakeview and graduated from Lakeview High School.
Her years of working for Burger Queen and Blarney Brothers contributed much to the success of those businesses. She did her job exceptionally well and will be remembered as one of the very best.
After a 16-year engagement, Billie and Terry Johnson were married in Lakeview on Oct. 17, 2008.
Billie enjoyed being outdoors and had developed a real passion for hunting arrowheads. She also thoroughly enjoyed fishing and loved working in her garden and tending to her beautiful flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by husband, Terry Johnson of Lakeview; daughters, Lynelle (Derek) Pfremmer of Cole Camp, Mo., Karmen Saunders of Cole Camp, Mo. and Terri (Cedric) Hughes of Rosamond, Calif.; sisters, Beverly (Larry) Brown of Lakeview and Diane Keeney of Lakeview; grandchildren, Cody and Brielle Phremmer and Cedric Jr., Brenna and Alyviah Hughes; nephews, Mike and Lane Keeney.
A private memorial service was held on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 with inurnment in Sunset Park Cemetery.
Contributions in Billie’s memory may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Desert Rose Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
