Charlotte Marie Hill, 68, of Lakeview, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. She was born on July 21, 1945 in Red Bluff, Calif. to Lesley and Marjorie (Taylor) Bone and graduated from Crater High School. She married Donald Dean Hill on March 19, 1964 in Adel.
In addition to being a homemaker, Charlotte was a ranch cook for many years in Adel at the MC Ranch, a bus-driver for Adel school, worked at the Adel and Hart Mountain stores and was a custodian at the District #7 School Building. She also cleaned homes for people in Lakeview following her retirement from the school district. She also found time to coach girls softball and was a 4H leader for cooking and leather crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, her husband Donald Hill, her brother and two sisters.
She is survived by her son Buckley Hill of Oklahoma City, Okla., daughter and son-in-law Sue and Jeremy Coffey of Lakeview; sister Rose Kaupanger of Council, Idaho; several nieces, nephews and cousins and was a very loving grandmother to her grandson Levi.
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Ousley Osterman Huffstutter Funeral Chapel in Lakeview followed by a potluck at the Eagles Lodge. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at the Adel Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Charlotte may be made to the charity of your choice.
