Cynthia Renee Utley

Cynthia Renee Utley, 54, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in Sonora, Calif. losing her battle with cancer, but winning the most important thing to her – her place in heaven.
She was born to Bill and Shirley Utley in Shell Beach, Calif. on March 24, 1961.  Cindy began her adventures with five siblings and one old dog in Shell Beach, Calif.  She loved the ocean, animals and competition.  Her first competition was topless swimwear at age 3 and then on to horsemanship by age 6.  She was a good rider and a gentle hand with horses.  She attended school in Lakeview and made numerous friends over the years.
Cindy was in the army, stationed in Hawaii and was the first woman to be stationed on that base, where she became a fireman.  She also worked as an EMT, sheriff’s deputy, CNA, dialysis technician, vaquero and many other positions too numerous to mention.  Her life was full of adventure with everything from flying a plane, skydiving, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, driving cattle, white water rafting and lots of travel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Utley.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Richardson, Lakeview; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cisco and Vikki Rodriguez of Shasta City, Calif., Randy and Kathi Rodriguez, of Redding, Calif. and Donny and Ramona Rodriguez of Fall River Mills, Calif.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Redwing and Ed Klawin of Sonora, Calif., Becky McNair of Klamath Falls and Jozette and Rick Trotts of Lakeview; aunt Pat Robnett of Lakeview and countless nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
