Vivian Lois Flick, 85, unexpectedly and peacefully passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014. She was born on Oct. 12, 1928 in Moffat, Colo. to Frank and Juanita (Platz) Clark.
She attended schools in Gunnison, Colo. and graduated with the class of 1946 from Gunnison County High School.
On June 8, 1947 Vivian married Carroll Flick and together they moved to Lakeview during the uranium boom in 1957. When the mining was over, they settled on a ranch life and she worked right along all the other ranch hands.
Every the outdoorsman, she loved hunting and fishing. Filling her bighorn sheep tag was a proud moment in her life. Alongside her on this hunt was her husband of 55 years, Carroll and her son and guide, Leon.
In her later life, she joined a quilt group and added more friends to her list of those she cherished. She also had a special place in her heart for young children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and sister.
She is survived by daughters, Thelma (Richard) Goodnough and Nancy (Don) Ashford; grandchildren, Cody Goodnough, Cricket (Jeff) Harmon and Josh (Alise) Ashford; great-grandchildren, Marcus, Mason, Chloe, Rale, Zachary, Carson, Colton and Quinton; special daughter-in-law, Billie Flick; three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Lakeview First Presbyterian Church.

Desert Rose Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
