Sheryl Lynn Prock, 49, died at her Westside home on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Sheryl was born on July 12, 1964 in Grants Pass to Emmett Blackmun and Amy Jacobs.
Sheryl moved to Lake County during her grade school years and attended Lakeview Schools through her junior year. She graduated from Hidden Valley High School in 1982.
While living in Corvallis, she met and later married Steven Prock on June 16, 1984 in Klamath Falls. Once married, Sheryl and Steven lived in Corvallis, and later moved to Glendale, where they started a family and raised their children for the next 20 years. The family moved to Lakeview in 2008. Sheryl enjoyed coming back home to Lakeview and spent seven happy years in Lake County, before her passing.
Sheryl loved all animals, but it was her love of Golden Retriever puppies and dogs which was the strongest. Sheryl enjoyed cooking, hiking, camping and especially spending time with her family. She lived for her family. Sheryl will be remembered for her big smile, kind soul and warm heart.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Steven Prock; parents, Emmett and Donna Blackmun and Bill and Amy Jacobs; son, Bret Prock; daughters, Samantha and Marissa Prock; grandmother, Lois Blackmun; granddaughter, Brooklynn Prock; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Contributions in memory of Sheryl may be made to the Cancer Center in care of St. Charles Medical Center, 2000 N.E. Neff, Bend 97701-6015 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Desert Rose Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
